Here are four ways that your high-schooler can make a teacher's day!
1. Write a Poem
Teens are often embarrassed to speak in public or express themselves in person. Teacher Appreciation Week is the perfect time for students to have an "excuse" to thank teachers who have given them special attention or help by writing a note or poem. Short on time? Email this card to your favorite teacher.
2. Plant a Reminder
A group of friends, a classroom, or a grade level (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors) can work together to plant a tree, flowers, or shrubs to honor teachers and beautify school grounds during this week.
2. Start a Teacher Feature
Each week or month, display a teacher's picture in school, along with a profile on why he or she became a teacher. Report on his little-known hobbies or interests, include his philosophy of teaching, add any quotes he's famous for, and end with his thoughts on the future of education. You can also publish your Teacher Feature in the school newspaper.
4. Ideas from Parents
