Backpack Safety


Your child' backpack shouldn't weigh more than 10-15 percent of his body weight. To help prevent injury, make sure his backpack has wide straps and a padded back, or look into purchasing a rolling backpack. Always place the heaviest items in first, leave anything he doesn't need at home, and encourage him to use both straps when carrying it. Follow these ideas for more ways to lighten your little one's load.
