Q
My 13-year-old loves to read, but she has a comprehension disability and only reads at 2.5-grade level. Her teachers and I have tried different methods to help her, but she's getting frustrated that she can't understand a simple third-grade book. Where would I find books on tape to interest an eighth-grader? Can I get them on the Internet?
A
You can go to http://www.booksontape.com to buy audio books, but your daughter may also be eligible to receive books free from the Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic. Try their website at http://www.rfbd.org for more information about whether she would qualify for this service or call their toll-free number at 1-800-221-4792.
