Students with LD and College Admission

College/Career Expert Advice from Carol Carter

Question: Where can I find a list of colleges that accept LD students? Do they actually encourage them to apply?

Answer: Since so many students have learning disabilities of some kind or another, most colleges accept these students based on the same merits of application as other students. If you are interested in specific programs that can help LD students, ask each college which resources they have for your specific learning disorder. Also ask about their track record with graduates in your LD area. It will be telling to see if they track that type of performance.
