Description: The setting is 1956. Olof, a forty-year old farmer living alone in the Swedish countryside, is aided by his young friend Erik, who helps him run his errands. Olof decides to run an add in the local paper for a housekeeper. He hires Ellen, who takes over his household and his heart.
