Running time:48 minutes

Description: Tribulation 99 is a satirical pastiche of stock footage, propaganda films and newsreels, culled from archives all over Canada. The clips are arranged in a sort of continuity to prove that America has been invaded by hostile extraterrestrials, who are responsible for everything from the ozone layer to killer bees. Director Craig Baldwin gleefully and irresponsibly illustrates his thesis with scenes from bad Mexican and Japanese sci-fi films, along with random images of Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy and Salvador Allende. In the tradition of The National Enquirer, Baldwin predicts even more horrifying events in the future, using shots of the Northrup Flying Wing and scenes from the Granada Invasion to back up his predictions. Funny about half the time, Tribulation 99 is never less than diverting.~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
