Description: In a speeding horse-drawn carriage, two women frantically throw off the numerous layers of their 18th century dress. Hardly appropriate behavior for royalty, but Princess Leonide has a plan. She and her lady-in-waiting disguise themselves as young male scholars to enter "the house that knows not love," where lives the Princess' object of desire. Inspired by the sight of handsome young Agis bathing nude in a lake, Princess Leonide schemes to give him not only her hand in marriage, but also her kingdom, which is rightfully his.
