Description: Welcome to Idlewild, Georgia. Welcome to Church. Players gather nightly at the Church, with childhood friends--who grew up on opposite sides of the tracks--Rooster and Percival playing two key roles at the club. Set against the backdrop of this 1930s southern speakeasy, "Idlewild" is story of the loves and ambitions of these two struggling performers, told through intricate musical numbers and vibrantly choreographed dance sequences. Percival is the club's shy piano player and Rooster is the club's showy lead performer and manager. Together, they try to stave off gangsters who want to get their hooks into the place.
