Description: In 1969, the filmmaker made a short entitled 'Sean' about a precocious four-year-old boy in Haight Ashbury. Sean spoke of eating pot, cops busting heads, and speed freaks. The film caused a sensation, and now the director has followed up on the barefoot kid and his rambunctious California family of hippies, communists, and working class heroes.
