Description: The film explores the relationship between the middle classes and the slums in Rio de Janeiro during the past 50 years as shown through two people who are almost brothers: Miguel, an intellectualized middle-class political prisoner and member of Congress; and Jorge, son of a samba composer who went from petty thief to leader of the Red Command.
