How to Begin Homeschooling a Teen
Q: My 17-year-old son just does not like school. He was diagnosed with ADD in the fifth grade and school has always been difficult. We held him back in the first grade at the advice of his teacher. I still don't know if that was the right choice. My question is: How do we begin with the homeschooling process? I don't want him to get so disgusted with school that he quits, and he has asked about this option.
A: Teens represent the fastest growing segment of the homeschool population. Most, like your son, have been labeled and faced many difficulties in the school system.
