Homeschooling Expert Advice from Isabel Shaw

Q: I'm 15, live in England, and I've been out of school for quite a while due to illness. I am now considering homeschooling as I would like an education and qualifications. The problem is that next year I will be expected to take my GCSEs. What can I do?

A: Try contacting the Home Education Advisory Service at www.heas.org.uk. This national home-education group provides advice and support for families homeschooling in the UK. You'll find information about the GCSE examination requirements, as well as answers to other homeschooling questions.
