Rita Culross, Ph.D.

Rita Culross is Associate Dean, College of Education, and Adjunct Professor of Psychology and Curriculum and Instruction at Louisiana State University. She holds a BA with highest distinction in elementary education and teaching the gifted, an MS.Ed. in educational psychology, and a Ph.D. in psychology from Purdue University. She is a licensed psychologist and a certified school psychologist, with research interests in counseling the gifted and underachievers.

Culross has served as the consulting school psychologist for a public school elementary gifted program, and has written a book and several journal articles on gifted education. She has presented numerous papers both nationally and internationally, and has given many community talks about the gifted.
