Finding Out About Scholarships

College/Career Expert Advice from Carol Carter

Question: There is a scholarship for kids whose parents graduated high school but didn't go to college. Do you know how I would get information about it?

Answer: I haven't heard of scholarships specifically for first generation college students, but there are many scholarships based on economic need and your potential in college and beyond. Check with the financial aid office of the schools for which you have the greatest interest.
