ADHD Medications and Menstruation

LD and ADD/ADHD Expert Advice from Eileen S. Marzola, Ed.D.

Question: My daughter has taken a variety of medications for ADHD since she was five. Currently, she is on Adderall. Can this medication affect the onset of her menstrual cycle?

Answer: This is something to talk with your doctor about. There could be many reasons that your daughter's onset for menstruation is delayed and it is certainly something you should check out with her physician.
