Mom Seeks Alternative ADHD Treatments

LD and ADD/ADHD Expert Advice from Eileen S. Marzola, Ed.D.

Question: I would like some information on alternative medications and vitamins for ADHD. My six-year-old son can't stay focused in school and I don't want to use Ritalin.

Answer: I understand your caution about prescribing medication for your six-year-old. There is an article on Family Education that discusses prescribing medications for young children who may have ADHD. You can find it at http://familyeducation.com/article/0,1120,23-12687,00.html.
